DanceCuento: Folk dances and tales from cultures around the world

In a globalized world, young people of different backgrounds would benefit from learning ethnic folklore and dance to develop cultural knowledge and psychomotor skills, which would enable them to bridge gaps in multicultural understanding and overcome obstacles to intercultural social relationships. Research indicates that curriculum interventions such as folk dances, music, and plays can have positive effects on the racial attitudes and interactions of students. Hence, a proposed solution for this multifaceted problem is an “ethnic dance video game” to be played at a learner’s (or learners’, up to two) convenience on a motion controlled platform and in an informal setting.
